Boy do we have Great People working for us!!

July 27, 2008

I had the pleasure of spending last Thursday golfing with a some of the guys from GRS(GP FIBERGLASS’s divison in Saskatoon) boy are we in good hands. First I have some good news. Shaun who manages the operation mentioned to me that his new bride and him are expecting. Congrats to both. I think he also told me that his team had the highest score of the tourmanment HA HA that just means my team didn’t.

I played with John and Ian both good golfers and fun to be with. We are real lucky to have this type of “go to” people working to bring quality to our customers. John lives in Clavet close to the shop and Ian lives in Saskatoon.

Thanks to Shaun for driving up to Edmonton. The boys now have a well deserved couple weeks shut down as our customers also take a break.

Any body who would like to tour our facilities please let me know at 403-990-1324 and I would arrange it.

Talk to you soon and thanks for buying our stuff

DOG DAYS of SUMMER

July 21, 2008

We always enjoy the dog days of summer,  we seem to always be busy with the water well casing as well drilling is at it’s peak both in the US and in Canada.  The electrical side is strong to with our Ontario business taking a different direction(all good) and our biggest customer(Sask Power) is the busiest they have been in years. I grew up in Sask and it’s great to see the economy so strong.

GRS is taking the extra work in Stride and Shaun has done a great job keeping the parts flowing through to our customers in both the RV and the Farm equipment industries. I really thought the RV business would slow down with fuel prices so high but Pleasure way just keeps smoking (Great job Merv) and any body in the Farm equip business knows how that is growing.

We appreciate the invitation to the  Golf tournament in Edmonton from Ashland (one of our suppliers) and it should be a good day.

I have a couple things i want to bring to the attention of anybody who reads our blog ,the first being how good  a job Ryan (Gregg’s e

ldest son) has done on the Webpage. NICE WORK big fella.

The second is my son Craig shot a -2 under 70 to qualify for the Alberta Mens Amateur coming up this week in Calgary.  This tournament will have the best Mens golfers in Alberta and should be interesting. Good luck Craig.
